![]() Infusion TherapyWe recommend
and offer multiple intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous
medications and infusions that span from specialized nutritional
treatments, vitamins, metabolic enhancers, hormones and targeted
therapy for cancer patient sufferers. Infusion therapy is rarely an
exclusive recommended treatment but is rather, part of an interrelated,
overall treatment plan that encompasses other Functional Medicine. For
example, other recommended applications are designed to assist your
body to rebalance biochemically, to get back to health .
Metabolic Enhancers Lipotrovite
This is a favorite energy enhancer combination of methionine, inositol,
cholline and methyl B12 along with activated folate and minerals to
improve cellular detoxification, increase in fat metabolism and
improvement in cellular membrane responsiveness to chemical signalling.
Many people with fatigue, malaise, extra fat and brain fog symptoms
will respond and improve. In addition, changes in these symptoms often
include better fat loss, clarity and energy. The injection is
administered under the skin through a very small needle every one to
two weeks depending on individual repsonsiveness and need.
Methyl B12
This
is administered under the skin and does not hurt. Many people are B12
deficient for reasons of little stomach ascid or poor absorption of
B12. By using the methyl version of B12, many important methylating
enzyme requiring reactions are improved. Cognitive dysfunction is
reduced as well as increased energy and thought clarity are
experienced. A significant number of autistic children respond
favorably as well. This is recommended generally on the basis of
symptoms and B12 levels.
Vitamin D3
More
than 80 % of the people we see are suboptimal in vitamin D. This is an
important hormone (Yes, Vitamin D is actually a hormone) that impacts
blood pressure control, immune function and balance, bone health,
insulin repsonsivness, cancer control and helps with nerve cell health
and insulalation as well as neurotransmitter balance. Other hormone
receptors work more efficiently and sleep is improved with proper
levels. This is a painless intramuscular injection that can rapidly
bring activated vitamin D levels closer to an optimal level that can be
maintained generally with oral administration. Symptoms of seasonal
affective disorder are also often improved with this therapy.
Phosphatidyl Choline Exchange
This intravenous treatment employs a number of intravenous nutrients
necessary to access the blood brain barrier. Our principle use and
recommendation for the use of phosphatidyl choline exchange is for
central nervous system detoxification of various persistant organic
polutants, mold toxins and heavy metals. Persons suffering from
neurodegenerative disorders, cognitive dysfunction, chronic fatigue and
other fat soluble toxin effects are helped with this treatment. Because
chelating agents do not cross the blood brain barrier, this works in a
very important way to improve heavy metal detoxification of the central
nervous system. We often employ glutathione as part of the therapy.
Intravenous Vitamin C
Vitamin
C with other minerals and nutrients is an effective treatment for many
problems associated with needs for improved immune function, infections
and antioxidants. It can be given during cancer therapy.
Normal cells do not take up
high concentrations of vitamin whereas cancer cells tend to pump
vitamin c into the malignant cell in high concentrations. In many
tumors the cell is forced into suicide, due to presumably to resultant
high levels of peroxide inside the cell. For other effects high dose
vitamin C can improve chronic fatigue symptoms and aide in the
treatment of various viral syndromes.
Custom Nutrient Therapy
Depending on
the need, a variety of targeted nutritional infusions can be performed
and customized to the laboratory directed deficits not likely to be
repleated adequately in other ways.
Heavy Metal Chelation
We employ a
variety of chelators to address excessive total body burdens of heavy
metals. Dietary or dental mercury, envirnmental lead, cadmium,
antimony, aluminum and tin exposure can be addressed most effectively
through the use of detoxification protocols, herbal, pharmaceutical and
heavy metal nutrient detoxification modalities. We are happy to discuss
how invidualized treatment plans can work for your particular problem.
